The Next Phase of Orderly’s Token Economy Is Live
Following community approval, the revenue-backed ORDER buyback system has now been fully activated across the protocol.
Every two weeks, up to 60% of Orderly’s net fees will be used to buy back $ORDER via TWAP, creating consistent, programmatic demand that directly ties protocol revenue to token value.
How It Works
Buybacks occur on a recurring basis, using revenue generated over the previous two weeks.
50% of purchased $ORDER is distributed to stakers as esORDER (3-month linear vesting).
50% goes to the community-governed wallet, where future votes will decide how it’s used — whether for burning, liquidity, or incentives.
This structure ensures protocol success translates directly into token support and community value.
Staking and VALOR
The transition to esORDER-based staking is complete. The old USDC reward system has been retired, and the VALOR mechanism has evolved in parallel.
After the current epoch concludes, both the old and new VALOR systems will operate simultaneously for a limited period. Redeeming old VALOR 1.0 for USDC does not affect a user’s holdings in VALOR 2.0, which will continue to accrue esORDER rewards independently of USDC claims.
To protect the interests of current holders:
Each user’s VALOR 1.0 allocation is mirrored 1:1 in the new system.
Example: if you previously held 1% of VALOR 1.0, you’ll automatically begin with 1% of VALOR 2.0.
The USDC treasury from the previous system remains claimable for stakers who haven’t yet withdrawn.
Together, these changes make staking leaner, more aligned, and directly connected to Orderly’s growth.
Why It Matters
This upgrade transforms how value flows through the ecosystem:
$ORDER demand grows through continuous buybacks
Stakers earn yield tied to protocol performance
The community gains governance over a growing treasury of $ORDER
It’s a self-sustaining loop — where every trade, fee, and market activity reinforces the ecosystem’s foundation.
The Road Ahead
The first buyback cycle has already begun, marking a major milestone in Orderly’s evolution toward a more sustainable, community-driven model.
Future governance proposals will decide how the community wallet’s $ORDER is deployed — giving token holders a direct voice in how value circulates within the ecosystem.
ORDER now grows with the protocol. Buybacks are live. The loop is complete.
